Sharing the Stoke
One of the greatest things about the progression of the Internet is the concept of collaboration. We love skateboarding; and, we appreciate all other forms of concrete-spun “flow” sports such as BMX, inline skating and {aaack} even aggressive scooters.
The Internet allows us to create a one-stop, photo and information depot for everything Brook Run Skate Park related.
Why Should I Submit my Photos to the Site?
There are a number of reasons to send us your photos:
- The main focus of this web site is exposure for our local skaters. Great skate photos deserve to be seen; but if no one knows about your photos, well, they won’t be seen by too many people. Our site ranks very well at Google and is linked to by many popular local and national web sites. This exposure will only continue to grow over time.
- We are a one-stop shop for everything Brook Run Skate Park. We aren’t pimping only our own photos. We aren’t focusing on other skate parks nor other skate scenes in Georgia. There are very good local sites that do that already. Instead, we are focusing on the Brook Run Skate Park. Nothing more. Nothing less.
- Because we have an Unlimited Flickr Account. That’s right, a whopping $25 investment to ensure their is unlimited space for all the Brook Run imagery.
- Looking for industry sponsor? Yea? Well, expect to catch some flack from the playa’ haters; but anyway, as the exposure for the site continues to grow, industry reps and companies will not only have visited the site, but will continue to visit to find new talent.
- Because it’s just f&^%@! cool, that’s why. ’nuff said.
Tips for Sending Your Images
- Please send the high resolution images, if you can. This allows for much more flexibility in posting your photos
- Take the time to write captions for the photos. I am old skool and thus, I don’t know all the correct trick terminology for some of the insane street action, and I certainly don’t know much about bike and inline tricks. If you identify the tricks yourself, you don’t have to worry about me messing it up in the captions. {grins}
- Zip large photo collections. If you are sending me more than 10 photos, please zip the photos to minimize the file size and allow for better organization.
